I was not happy to see the obituary this morning. We were friends just about our whole lives. I found out from reading the obituary that our families had moved to the same neighborhood at the same time. Being at the reunion and seeing him again was really nice. He asked about both of my brothers, by name, at the gathering we had on Friday night. He will be missed.

It was sad to hear that Doug is gone.  He was a nice "kid" and a great adult.  He will be missed by his family, his friends and his classmates.  Rest in Peace, Doug, your in good hands now.

So sorry to hear of Doug's passing! Does anyone know what he died of?  Way too young for sure.  We had alot of fun with Doug and Gloria.  Their's is one wedding I will never forget!  We had such a good time.  Thinking of you Glorie.

Doug and I were friends from the time we met just before our 5th  birthdays, just a few hours apart.  Better friend you couldn't have. We haven't seen much of each other recently but when I saw Doug at the get together last fall it was if we had talked only days ago. I'll miss Doug very much.

My friend Doug,

I am so happy that we were able to visit at the 50 year meet and greet. You seeked me out to say hello. You saw my difficulty of needing two hips and we shook hands. I remember in junior high math classes we would have competition in solving math problems and you would always ring out DONE!!! before me.

You were my friend, farewell

I remember Doug well.  We were close even though my family didn't move to MN until I was in 5th grade and I moved to OR in 1979.  After high school I rode with Doug and his dad to the U of M in thier new mustang the fall of '64.  When I was married while home on leave in '66 Doug was one of my attendents at the wedding.  I'm still kicking myself for not making it to the reunion.  There's been way too many classmates that have passed on too soon.  Best wishes to his wife and children.
