She walked into Miss Tollefson's 6th hour social studies class at Sunrise Park when we were freshman. She was 6 feet tall, had a wonderful smile and dimples. Talk about having a crush! Over the next 3+ years she became a friend, fellow band member, a singer of show tunes with a group of us after hours in the band room practice rooms, and a darn good flute player, who went on to play professionally. I'm sorry she won't be at the reunion.
I remember Karen as possibly one of the prettiest girls in school. She was nice to everyone and very very talented. I'm so sorry to hear that she's no longer with us.
I'm really sorry Karen isn't here. I thought she was wonderful. We went out boating and she taught me to water ski. I loved it! She made it so easy. Many years later, when I lived on a lake and had a boat, I taught others as she had taught me. I miss her and her bright eyes.
