Brian and I lived a block apart, on Wood Ave.  This is now three of my best friends.....Don "Swen" Swenson, Lyle and now Brian that are gone.  I recall the morning Brian and I were waiting for the bus at 4th and Wood, passing time throwing rocks at the stopsign on the corner.  Someone called the police on us.  We boarded the bus, but before the driver could pull out a cruiser came by, lights flashing.  The officer boarded as well, we had to stand up and ID ourselves.  We were so nervious, we felt like criminals.  The officer instructed the driver to drop Brian and I off at the police station (now the Domino's Pizza on Clark) after school.  A very long day at Sunrise Park, we got a lecture at the station house and walked home.  I remember too Brian's Mom being a very sweet, kind lady.
