Kathy and I were friends. I have thought of her so many times over the years. Her wake was my first experience seeing someone close who had died. So many times back then, I wished she would have come to my house, like our plan had been. How different things would have turned out!

Seems like junior high was the time I thought about girls. Kathy Burke was one of them. I was so shy I could not approach her at the Sunrise Park dances. Senior high comes along and now I learn how much time slipped by not getting to know her. For these many years later I still grieve for her but more I regret not getting to know her.
